Gambling Community Benefit Fund

[Konica-Minolta]
Hon Andrew Fraser MP, Member for Mount Coot-tha and Minister for Local Government, Planning
and Sport, presents the Konica-Minolta digital copier/printer to ARCS President, Dr Aila Keto
In October 2006, the Australian Rainforest Conservation Society received a grant of $14,950 from the Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund (www.gcbf.qld.gov.au). The Fund returns to Queenslanders a percentage of revenue raised from taxes placed on Golden Casket lotteries, wagering, keno and gaming machines.

The grant was provided to purchase a Konica-Minolta bizhub 250C digital photocopier/printer. The new machine provides high-quality colour printing and is already saving ARCS money in allowing in-house printing of our newsletter and other publications. The major use of the machine will be production of high-quality printed material including reports, brochures, flyers etc.
