Fragments of Green describes and illustrates over 400 rainforest plant species with notes on habitat, time of flowering and fruiting, worldwide distribution and advice on cultivation.

A simple-to-use key is included which, with the clear and detailed illustrations, should allow the layperson to identify rainforest plants of the region. Technical terms have been kept to a minimum but a glossary of botanical terms is included.

The foreword by ARCS President, Dr Aila Keto, emphasises the conservation significance of the plants of this region.

NB: The second edition has recently been reprinted and the taxonomy (scientific names) brought up to date (June 2011).
